At Prairie Ridge Elementary, we offer a robust Gifted and Advanced Learning program that supports the identification and programming for gifted and advanced students, from Kindergarten through 5th grade. In partnership with St Vrain’s department of Gifted and Talented, we collaborate with staff, parents, and the community to support advanced learners. The mission of Gifted Services is to ensure learning and growth through the implementation of educational provisions and advocacy.
Our dedicated Gifted and Advanced Learning teacher provides accelerated instruction in math and literacy, including an accelerated math class for 5th grade students that covers both 5th and 6th grade standards in one year, preparing them to skip 6th grade math in middle school. Through our Gifted and Advanced Learning Services, we strive to meet the unique needs of gifted and advanced students, fostering their academic growth and ensuring they reach their highest potential.
